Bitdefender
Free is an
antivirus program edited by a Bucharest-based company. With it, you can protect
PC, Mac and Unix machines against viruses, spyware, rootkits, trojans, worms,
etc.

Installation : To
install it, you can use an installation CD or download it from SOFTWIN’s
website. Then you need to select from three installation options : Typical,
Custom and complete. Its installation requires the removal of other antivirus
programs from your machine.

User interface : Even
if its user interface has been redesigned, it keeps the same modular management
console. It is skinable.

Scanning : It offers
three scanning modes. On demand scanning, it detects and removes viruses when
you need it necessary. The scheduled scanning lets you schedule full system or
drive scans when you do not use your computer. The last one is immediate
scanning, it is for checking files and folders.

Report : When
scanning, it is possible to generate a report file for displaying statistics
about scan process.
